My mother in-law has been using Charles of the Ritz Revenescence Liquid Moisturizer and Revenescence Liquid Makeup Ivory/Beige for 40 plus years! Since they have disscontinued the products we cannot seem to find anything! I've been surfing all day now trying to find these products. Can anyone help me!! She is 85 years old and her skin absolutely beautiful due to this moisturizer! She doesn't want to have to change after all these years and I don't blame her. Please help!!!

| I wish I could find more Revenescence too. It was the only thing I used for 45 years. I am allergic to perfumes, but the fragrance in Revenescence never bothered me. Everything I try now, even unscented stuff, makes my eyes burn. My skin is falling apart without my Revenescence. I wish Charles of the Ritz never sold out to Revlon, and never stopped making Revenescence. I miss it so much it's like losing a family member. |

It's under Revlon because Charles of the Ritz sold out to Revlon.
There is no Revenescence LIQUID at that site or any other site except ebay. One bottle on ebay is being sold as-is, and the guy says he doesn't even know if there's anything in it. Another bottle has a little gone from it and she wants $250.
The last time I bought it at Penney's, it cost about $60, but it lasted for so long that it was worth it.
I am going out of my mind trying to find something for my face. I'm allergic to most perfumes, but the Revenescence fragrance didn't bother me. EVERYTHING I try now makes my eyes burn. |

| Gotta jump on the wagon also, my aunt is 87 and has been using Revenescence forever. She swears by it and has the face to show for her dedication. Four years ago I found the 6oz on Ebay for $80.00 each and only bought 3. I was her hero and now it's time to restock but I can't seem to accept the $300 price tag. |

| I have also used Revenescence since 1969. I don't have a single wrinkle, look about 30. I freaked out when it went off the market, bought enough to last 15 years. Then I realized I will live longer than that! I called Revlon and tried to get the recipe. NO luck, but they said follow the ingredients on the label on the box. I did, and came up with something even better! For real! I should sell the recipe, but I will tell you the main ingredients: glycogen and beeswax. It has to be heated and done in a blender to get it to combine. I have all my friends hooked on it. It is better because I put in Vit. A and E, and sunblock. And a couple of other things to cover all the bases. If you want to buy a 6 oz. Bottle of the real Revenescence for $300, (eBay price), I will sell it to you. I don't mind since my stuff is better. Good Luck! We young looking Revenescence addicts should get together and try to get Revlon to make it again. Send in our photos! |

I am appalled that this product is now selling for over $330 because it's been discontinued. Needless to say, she'll be switching to something else. Please let me know if you can find it for the $25 she used to spend when she bought it at Penny's! Good luck, Genie |

Ridiculous what prices I'm seeing on Ebay; I will lather my face with buttermilk and oatmeal first ! Actually, my mother was Indian with skin as smooth as silk. Many times she'd give me leftover milk (from our farm) to bathe in. Has anyone ever tried pulling the thin lining out of the empty eggshell and putting it on a rough place on their face ? Yes - it works! So many of mom's treatments for different things worked, but she has \been gone for years and would never pay for some of these things we run wild trying to find! |

| Re: Charles Of The Ritz Revenescence Liquid |
A "knock-off" or a "spin-off" may not be such a terrible thing. Anyone who has a box that REVENESCENCE came in, can easliy read the ingredients list. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to come up with the formula.
Better something "knocked off" and done well, than using the old stuff at $100 an ounce with preservatives gone bad! Preservatives are essential to keeping bacteria and mold from forming, and eating into the skin!
Charles of the Ritz had a chemist working for him who used basic ingredients in Revenescence skin care which have been around since the 1930's. They are still readily available, and if preservatives are used, a "spin off", at a reasonable price, may be a GOOD THING, if done RIGHT.
Gosh people, this formula is not extinct . The company is extinct, but the formula can be reproduced. How narrow minded of you to think that a 20 year old bottle of something is the only answer to the need, just becasue it had the name "Charles of the Ritz!
Walmart makes knock offs of every major brand. I can't tell the difference. They knock off Ponds Cold Cream and everything else in the Health & Beauty section--even Oil of Olay products. They have the same formula, but are labeled as "compare to" on their container. The price is less, but the product is the same.
Get real! If Walmart starts to make it, will you buy from them? The formula is the formula. The name is not exclusive to the formula! Charles of the Ritz hired a chemist who formulated Revenescence. If it was initially done in 1929, it can be done in 2010 just as effectively, if proper sanitary standards are met, and FDA regulations are flollowed, it can be effectively reproduced!!
Don't knock the knock-offs! They might be better than the old, stale original--if good preservatives are used, in the right proportions. That, and sanitation standards compose the benchmark "Knock Off"! Don't be afraid of "knock Offs, be afraid of the water that was used, and the (possibly) dirty kitchen in which it was made, with nothing being boiled or sterilized. They are making this stuff in Indonesia, and have it on alibaba.com. God knows what kind of conditions that it was made in! Ebay sellers are buying there, and re-selling at exhorbitant prices. Yes, it is packaged the same, and has the "name" Charles of the Ritz, but it was done in Indonesia.
The minimum limit to buy is 25. When you are getting the name, are you sure what you are getting?
It is Sherry's claim that she uses NO PRESERVATIVES! "Nuff said...... |

Sherry Lane (Ritz Essence) went off ebay Saturday Feb.27. She pulled the eBay listing, and expanded her website BIG TIME!
You girls on this board must have driven her away. She isn't going to be hindered by what you all have said. She just dropped the "small potatoes" on Ebay, and went bigger and better on her website.
Anytime anyone puts "Charles of the Ritz" in a search engine, her website is right up front, in the number 1 or 2 position. That is all she needs to get customers. What do you all think? I think she has done something smart, if it isn't considered FALSE ADVERTISING. |

Sherry uses the word "re-created" in her ads.
The word "re-create" means "to make again". That erroneous terminology, in addition to the word "RITZ" in her Ritz Essence, may be leading some women to believe that the original is being made again.
Coming to this board, she is trying to drum up business from women who are trying to find the original. Surely nobody is stupid enough to buy it as the ORIGINAL. She doesn't even provide a label! But......she IS making money with her website. |

I'm willing to try Sherri's product. I just have to ask her about the perfumes first.
Yes, I contacted the manufacturer, and they said there was not enough market, that's why they discontinued it.
It might have helped if they had put it out on the counter at Penneys where I used to buy it. They kept it hidden under the counter.
I am allergic to regular Oil of Olay. The one time I used it, my face turned purple with pink polka dots.
I have been using other Olay products, but damn it, I want my Revenescence.
My grandmother was 95 when she died, not a wrinkle on her face, thanks to Revenescence, and my mother is now 92, same story, no wrinkles. She has been with my 68 year old sister, who has badly mistreated her skin, and some people wonder who is mother and who is daughter.
My cheap solution is just using Lubriderm Sensitive Unscented, which I already use on my body, on my face.
The "anti-wrinkle" and "look years younger" claims made by the expensive stuff is just bullticky. It has been proven that you should just keep your face well moisturized, even vaseline will do. |

Oatmeal paste made with buttermilk draws the skin tight as it dries, lining from raw egg shells will treat wrinkles, Ponds cold cream along with other major brand cold cream does wonders when rubbed in then excess removed. Remember massaging dry hair with mayonnaise, wrapping head in warm towel then shampooing it off later? Works wonders in bringing new life to tired hair. Safer and cheaper than hair products. |

I still have one (unopened) six-ounce bottle of Revenescence. I sold 5 bottles on eBay, but when the last bottle was purchased by a dealer, I canceled the sale and kept the product. It seems that someone on the board might really want it, and I could make THEM happy instead of a random eBayer.
My mother used Revenescence her entire life. She passed away in October at 86... And looking fabulous. She was really into this product. When she found out her cancer was terminal (meaning she'd be staying with me in California rather than going home), the first thing she did was have a friend go into her condo and pluck another bottle of Revenescence from her secret stash. I brought the rest of her stash back with me in November and sold them on eBay for $205 each. The last bottle was purchased by a sleazy dealer, so I cancelled the sale and kept the bottle.
If someone on the board is interested in buying it for the same price I'd ask for on eBay ($205), I'd be happy to sell it to you directly. In fact, I 'd PREFER to do so.
You can use PayPal if you wish, or you can mail payment.

I contacted Revlon and they sent me a sample jar for $5.00 and paid $5.95 for shipping of a cream comparable to the Charles of the Ritz, but, my mom said the cream burned her eyes. Maybe Sherry could let all these ladies buy some small sample jars at a reasonable price and everyone could decide for themselves if they like it or not. What do you think ladies and Sherry??? Thank you for your time. Kimberly :) |

| Hello, I spoke with Sherry earlier today and she does have a small size bottle of her similar Charles of the Ritz to try at a reasonable price and shipping. I will ask my mom about the lotion, thank you. I will look at the website you suggested, but, I think she likes the cream. You can try to ask Revlon if they have a sample size of a makeup that might be comparable to your 85 year old moms Charles of the Ritz makeup. Good luck:) |

| Re: Charles Of The Ritz Revenescence Liquid |
| Ladies...fair warning. Sinar Purnama Co. Ltd out of Indonesia is flooding in counterfeits of Charles Of The Ritz Liquid Revenescence by the gallon...in striped boxes. They are EASILY recognized by the large print "REVENESCENCE" across the top of the bottle. The genuine original by Charles of the Ritz ALWAYS had "Liquid" as the first word. God knows how this fake stuff is being made overseas. EBay sellers are raping people with this trash. Seller ID millieg2 has outrageously marked up her fake bottles to nearly $400 each!!! Nearly criminal. I have an investigation underway to compare this Indonesia junk's contents to Sherry's "recreation" as well as another new site declaring they have also recreated the original. I'm not yet convinced these 2 folks aren't just repackaging the Indonesia version. Be very careful out there. ALWAYS look for "Liquid" to be the top word on the packaging...in a silver box. We will report back once we get back data on the make-up of these knock-off versions...and will take appropriate action if results prove true. |

| Appreciate your warning. What did you find out about the contents in your investigation of the Indonesian version, Revenescence Liquid, and how does it compare in effectiveness to the original Liquid Revenesence? How does it compare to advertised duplicates? |

| Re: Charles Of The Ritz Revenescence Liquid |
| I just read some of the recent posts. I don't know anything about the Indonesian moisture lotions. I haven't seen or heard about them. I can tell you that I was a Revenescence user since I was 16 years old. I loved the product and when it was no longer available in the marketplace, I formulated my own Liquid Moisturizer just for myself. I made a decision to share it with other ladies who loved the old product too. You can buy a 2 oz. Bottle for $25.00 and $3.00 shipping. I feel that it is a very reasonable price. I love my new product and my ladies love it too. All of us are ladies of a "certain age" who remember Charles of the Ritz. I'm not doing this for profit. I have a very successful business as an artist. I do cartoon and caricature and have been in business for 40 years! My work has been published as a regular feature in Star Magazine and is in the collections of major corporations. In recent weeks, The Ritz Hotel in Paris, France, contacted me thru their lawyers, and I had to give up my company name because it had Ritz in it. They claim to hold the trademark for the word Ritz. I'm not in a position to fight with anyone, so I changed the name to SherryLaneCosmetics.com. You can find me there. |
