Woodhue By Faberge
I have been searching for Woodhue by Faberge for some time. I wore it when I was young and can still remember it's wonderful fragrance.
If anyone knows if it still exists, I would appreciate your letting me know. Thanks! |

I think because of age the cologne has turned. My friend has it and opened it (as i think it was sealed). I was just doing a search on this cologne and came across your query. I has Tigris some years back and again it seemed rather dodgy though i am no cologne expert some one at the time confirmed that it was the scent they had remembered

Memories! I wore Woodhue in the 60's. So did Dean Martin,
That's all he wore according to his son. Would love to buy some if anyone knows where to get the original stuff let me know. |

Woodhue was discontinued years ago (I always bought it for one of my Mom's Christmas gifts, as she loved it). Lately there has been some up for auction on ebay - I got her an almost full bottle.
Just check out "Woodhue" under "Health and Beauty" and see what you come up with. A note, it can be bid quite high, so good luck!!!! |

Llana;
If you can't find the "Woodhue" fragrance in a Perfume, you might want to check out the scented Fragrance OILS on the Belle-Star Web site: http://www.belle-star.com/perfume.htm
There is a big listing of various "fragrances" right under the "Women's Duplications" tab on their Web Site. I just happened to notice alot of various "discontinued" Fragrances in the OILS, while searching this Site. If someone is real desperate for "scents," maybe these OILS just might do the trick! I don't know how close of a "match" some of these OILS are, but it's worth a "look-see" anyway! Good luck with your find, & if I run across anything, I'll be sure to Post, OK? |

| Woodhue had the woodgrain cap. There was also one called "Tigress" that had an animal print on the cap, but it may have been tiger-striped. I do remember the leopard cap, though....might check ebay for "Faberge" and see if one shows up. |

The fragrance at Vermont Country Store is a dupe, not the original, so I'd be very careful before getting your hopes up. It may turn out to be OK, it may turn out to not be the lovely fragrance you remember.
I did call and ask them about this since I noticed the obvious discrepancy in their bottles and the original bottles - and that's when they admitted it was a dupe, not the original.
Good luck! |

Even if you can find an old bottle of the real thing, it is very very hard to get any that smells good, I just wasted $50.00 on old rancid smelling Tigress, I wish this company did Tigress too but they dont. Woodhue
Just bought the pricey www.thefragrancefactory.com Woodhue. It really is the 'real deal' and the bottle was tightly sealed and carton perfect shape. With age, the cork liner in the bottle cap had literally 'welded' itself to the mouth of the bottle - probably a good thing as the cologne was in perfect shape after 40 or so years. Just as I remembered from those halcyon days of my youth.
I am glad though that I purchased and it is what it is supposed to be! Brings back memories for sure.

Apparently, McGreggor discarded of the information with the ingredients that made up Tigress. Bet their kicking themselves now! There are thousands of women trying to find Tigress because it was such a beautiful fragrance and a favorite of many. By the way, I bought a vintage giftset from E-Bay of perfume, powder and lotion. | Actually, it is kind of interesting, a company DID buy the recipe for Woodhue, the original recipe, it was the Long Lost perfume div of irma Shorell, they remade the original Woodhue and Tigress but nobody would buy it because if they did not see the old bottle with the fur they were not getting on board. I have some of the Woodhue but none of the Tigress, it was remade under the name Tinder Box, and it smells fresh, i bought a few bottles when they closed it out 2 years ago, but nobody here seems to be interested. I did sell 7 bottles on Ebay and got great feedback except for one bozo guy that wanted to smell like Dean martin. Still have some if anybody cares...to take a leap of faith, lol. |

They're selling 4711 in a 10 oz bottle for $65 - I got a 13 oz bottle for $25, at SEARS, it is super easy to find anywhere!! They're also selling Demeter scents for $25 over the SRP. Obviously they're bargaining that people will assume it's "rare" or hard to find if they carry it and won't think to look elsewhere. I don't care if they do have a fragrance I want, I would never give business to a company with such predatory practices. |
