OH! DE LONDON

Living in Australia, I used to adore a perfume named "Sea Jade" by Yardley which I used around 1981. As I begin to read on the net, am I correct in thinking that in the U.K. It was sold as Oh! De London?
I used to douse myself in this delightful perfume and was so disappointed when it was taken off the market (isn't that the way!) Just to smell this once more would bring back so many memories!

They've recreated some of the oldies but goodies. They have a version of Evyan's Most Precious I really think is close to the original.

I watched a full spray bottle of Sea Jade sell on Ebay just last week for around $50. I do believe Sea Jade is indeed the same fragrance as Yardley's Oh! De London (at least I've seen that information posted in several places on the Internet). Supposedly, they just changed the name in the 70's, feeling the "swingin London" stage of the 60's was passe' or something?

There were also 2 bottles of Oh! De London for sale on Ebay last week. A larger, full bottle was listed for $225, and a smaller bottle (half full...about an ounce of cologne) sold for around $50. I'd search Ebay from time to time for the Sea Jade if I were you....there's probably less demand for the fragrance under that name, and so it will be less expensive than the more sought after Oh! De London. I bet you can find one soon. Good luck!

If you search on eBay right now, there's a bottle of Sea Jade....a mini-spray....for sale now at $125. Steep for a small bottle, but it's on there now and the seller is honest....ascenseforscents or something like that is her ebay name. I've bought vintage perfume from her...excellent!!

That was pretty steep for such a small bottle, lol.

I know who bought it now....she posts here regularly, I see. ;-)

Good luck in finding one that's less expensive....there's one on Ebay now....same size, but bid is low right now.
