Ninja Cologne

I am trying to find Ninja cologne. I found a bottle in my attic and I had forgotten how much I loved the fragrance. I am also looking for Jovan Ireland for my husband. I have tried ebay - does anybody know where I could locate either fragrance?
Thanks,
Karen...

Re: Ninja Cologne
I haven't seen Ninja anywhere for years! I,too, love this fragrance. I've tried ordering it from an on-line fragrance site, but what I received smelled like something from Avon (no offense). It just was NOT the original Ninja. :( I even tried contacting the company who originally produced the fragrance, but could not find them on-line either. Does anyone know the name of this company? I have since forgotten who produced the fragrance and would like to try contacting them again.

Re: Ninja Cologne
Ninja was made by Parfums de Coeur Designer Imposters. I was buying it regularly, from their web site, until they stopped selling the cologne, and carried only the body spray, which just didn't do it for me. Right now, there appears to be a problem on the web site, but when it's functioning, the address is http://www.parfumsdecoeur.com/designer_imposters_main.cfm. I've also, recently found a company on line, which offers a cologne that they call Ninja, in their own Designer Imposters line. I've ordered a bottle to try it, but since it hasn't arrived yet, I don't how true to the original scent it is. They also have Ninja scented incense. That address is http://moebiusenterprises.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_27&products_id=23.

Re: Ninja Cologne
LIZ...Did you ever receive Ninja from parfumsdeceour, and does it smell like the original Ninja?? If so I'd like to order some myself! Thanks.

Re: Ninja Cologne
Parfums de Coeur is still only offering the Ninja body spray, not the cologne, so I'm still not ordering from them. The company I ordered from Is Moebius Enterprises, and even though they call their line "Designer Imposters" and the cologne "Ninja," it's nothing even remotely close to the original "Ninja." I was SO disappointed.

Re: Ninja Cologne
I contacted Parfums de Coeur about Ninja cologne in the hopes they might have some stock-piled somewhere. They don't. They also said they stopped production on the cologne because it was not selling well. !!!! :( They still only produce the body spray. They have no plans to ever produce the cologne again.

Re: Ninja Cologne
Hi Ladies,
Well, I thought I was the only person going crazy trying to find Ninja cologne. I simply cannot believe the company quit making it. I too ordered and tried the Ninja Oil, don't bother, it's nothing at all like our lost Ninja. I'm going to try one of the large swap meets in our area which carry many knock-offs, see if I can find any there. If so, I will post another message with more information.

Re: Ninja Cologne
Well you are not alone. I also am an avid ninja buyer...i used my last bottle about 6 months ago and i am now left with only the body spray.
I can't believe it wasn't selling well i alone must have bought stock in the company with the amount i used through the years.
This is the most wonderful smelling perfume i have ever used and i can't find it any more and yes they told me too not enough business with it.
Opium isn't even close and it costs a ton more. And the other companies couldn't come close.
I spent so much money on the others and just threw them away.

Hey maybe if we all wrote at once to parfumes de coer they might change their mind ..oh well probably not

Re: Ninja Cologne
This is made by Parfums de Coeur and they have a website. At the current time, they are only producing the Body Spray in the 2.5 oz container. I have requested that they bring back the 1 and 1.8 oz bottle of cologne spray.

Re: Ninja Cologne
I also use to wear it & loved it. I heard through the grapevines it wasn't so good for peoples health. I heard this years ago - whether it's true or not. IDK. I do know they didn't stop production due to low sales. It sold like hot cakes back then.

Re: Ninja Cologne
...........And, any knockoff will never smell anything remotely close to the brand name perfumes. I don't even understand why companies try to duplicate a perfume when it isn't anywhere near being close.... They should send a supply of Tylenol - everyone I've ever smell gave me an instant headache... No, I do not waste my money on the "cheap" stuff anymore.

Re: Ninja Cologne
I am in the process of cloning this fragrance. I have part of a bottle of the original and I'm trying to get it as close as possible to the original -- this is my absolute favorite fragrance ever.

I called Parfums de Coeur about a month ago and, while I didn't quite whine, I did make it plain that I would pay an Opium price for this if they'd put it back on the market.

Sadly, they have allowed their trademark on the name to lapse, so it looks kinda permanent.

Anyone out there who also makes perfumes is welcome to contact me to compare notes. I have it very, very close, but I'm missing some little something that makes all the difference.

YES I will be happy to sell the blend when I get it done. Probably the best way to keep track of this is to subscribe or RSS to my blog because I will certainly post about it when I'm done. That is OnceUponASilverMoon.com/blog

And no I am not trying to hike my readership... I'm just rather passionate about this fragrance in particular.

For the time being, you can sometimes find the original on Ebay or at a thrift or vintage store. Keep a lookout for it at garage sales, and you might even put up a post on Craig's List. Best of luck to all who are searching.

Re: Ninja Cologne
Thanks Carol -- I've been plagued by a ghost of this perfume every time I open my old closet at my mom's house. I spilled a bottle of it on the floor "back in the day" and it's still as wonderful as ever.

For the longest time I thought that was going to be the only way I'd ever get to re-experience Ninja, but I went to visit an online friend who happened to have an inch or so in a bottle that no longer sprays. She couldn't bear to throw it out. I popped off the lid and was astonished to realize that, after years of making incense and body products, I recognized a whole lot of the notes in that perfume. She let me bring home the bottle. I ordered some oils I'd need and have been fooling with it off and on over the past two weeks.

Today I got really close -- I got online to see if I could track down that one note that's missing. I was testing it on my arms and although I washed it off I'm haunted by the aroma. It's so close and yet just not there yet.

Maddening. Hopeful. Excited. Despair. It makes me wonder if I'll ever get it right, but every time I try, I get closer. But I'm working backwards, and it's like trying to create a chocolate chip cookie from the finished product.

Just follow the blog and I will let the world know (yeah right, like anyone reads it, I only have like three posts on it) as soon as it's ready.

Won't be the same price range as it was in the 80s but it will be affordable. Each bottle will be made to order one at a time, from essential oils. I don't have access to all the synthetics they use in perfume labs (how I wish I did!). And it's probably a synth that's the missing ingredient, which is so very frustrating but it truly makes all the difference.

Personally, I can't wait til I get it right. I'm already anticipating spilling the first bottle when I jump up going Yes! Yes! Yes! :)

Re: Ninja Cologne
I found some Ninja body spray at a Flea market. I bought all they had. I'm down to 3 cans. I'm dying to find some more. I wish I could find the cologne as well. I've tried getting the fragrance notes online but can't find it. This is the best stuff I've ever had I'm so glad others are trying to find it as well. Too bad Parfums de Coeur stop selling it. I've tried Opium and Cinnabar. They don't come close to this scent. It works wonderfully with my skin chemistry.

Re: Ninja Cologne
I'm getting closer, I figured out a big piece of the puzzle the other day while in pursuit of something else. I opened a bottle of fennel oil and recognized it as one of the notes.

This was maddening, because I was deep in Making mode. At the time I was gearing up for holiday sales and crafting something else for the show season.

Holiday crafting is still taking up too much time. :( I had a big order today, my last big thing of the year. Gotta do inventory and tax prep and then I can focus on this again.

Subscribe to my blog for updates... I've been keeping a running commentary on my progress there. I'm a horrible blogger, so I don't update very regularly, which means low traffic in your RSS feed.

I hope to have this available by mid-January.
