I believe the 70's musk perfume was made by "Coty" - I am not sure if you are able to get this still, but you could do a bit of research on the net.

All i remember is that one comes in a white round bottle and is called Mayda and the other comes in a purpleish round bottle and is called Extremisse. I think the names are close. | I am trying to find an Impuse spray which was out in the 80's. It was in a metalic blue colour tin with coloured flowers over it. I think it was called something like Jueness or Tenesse. I can't even get a straight answer from Impulse themselves about it so I don't think there is much chance of finding it but it is worth a try. |

Re the Gingham fragrance, I think they changed the name to either Canoe or Ambush..and yes I know the smell of that stuff, it was lovely wasnt it!
(just doing some research on Dana items myself and am in the process of asking a friend of mine who used to work in a chemist in the late 60's ...and before she can reply to me, it came to me!)

You are talking about Evening in Paris made by Bourjois. It was a big hit in the 50's, along with the fragrance Blue Waltz.
It is still made by Bourjois but has been renamed to Soir a Paris, which is French for Evening in Paris. I have Soir a Paris. If you would like one, let me know at cosmeticking@hotpop.com.

The Original Heaven Sent, by Helena Rubenstein, smelled Wonderful !! Rubenstein hasn't made it for years. Other companies, ( Dana, & Mem, ) have made it since & it is a very watered down, cheap smelling version, that is an insult to the original. The original is hard to come by. Sometimes it shows up on ebay. Sometimes it can be found at: www.thefragrancefactory.com Be careful there & make sure it's Rubensteins, as they carry Dana & Mem versions too. And here's a site I really like to go to, to look for Discontinued Perfumes. Www.auntjudysattic.com/ Click on the "Rare & Discontinued Perfume " section. She has pages of perfumes from the past, originals. If you don't find it at first, keep checking back, as she gets things in all the time.
Hope you get lucky & find it. It w/cost now no matter where you get it though.

| I really need someones expertise on this one!!! I'm looking for 'Verve' I'm not sure who made it...it was kinda on the low cost side. It came in about 3 or 4 different scents. Anyway, there was one scent that was very clean smelling, rather than perfumy. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the net. | Hi, I am looking for a perfume, but I do not have the name. I only remember that it had a rectangular(tall, not wide) clear bottle, with a very understated, slightly slanted metalic cap. It had the name of a designer. Like Gianni Versace or Jean Gaultier or Ralph Lauren,... . I only remember thinking that I should remember the name because it was "just" the designers first and last name. I bought from ebay and was wholley disappointed. The perfumes were atomizers for the purse and were metal. The scent had gone rancid.

| There was the most fabulous fragrance around 1965-67, called Promesse, I believe it was by Prince Matchabelli. A fragrance sample was in one of the leading magazines at the time, and it made the whole magazine smell just glorious! It's just too wonderful to describe, all I can say is that, you had to have it!! I'd just LOVE to be able to buy it again. Any chance you could get a hold of some? |

Hi every one! I think this is the parfume I've been looking for, for the past several years. My grandma use to wear it in the 70's. I kinda remember the bottle. Can any one please discribe the sent to the best of your knowledge? The one my grandma use to wear smelled like a soft aroma a bouquet of jasmines and kinda powdery, it was a very nice soft youthful floral sent. I can still smell her perfume. She passed on 15 yrs ago. I regret never asking her the last time she came to visit us here, in CA from Tx. If this can help you, the scent of her perfume almost smells like California jasmine Desert scent. It's an air freshener, but it smells really good! To bad it's a room spray freshener. I love that scent!!!! They sell it at Wal-Mart. Please some one get back to me, ASAP Thanks!

I too had searched for it for several years before finally finding it again. It is called "The Original Natural Musk Oil Perfume" made by Cabot Laboratories but now distributed by Cooperlabs Limited out of Calif. (The original was out of Central Islip NY back in the 70's). My grandmother gave us all (granddaughters) some as teenagers in the 70's then we all searched for it after her death. When we all ran out again, we couldn't find it and searched for years before we located the cooperlabs site. It is the best perfume I have ever used! | I cant remember the names or who they are made by, that's what I'm trying to find out. There are 3 varieties of this perfume, 1 pink 1 purple and 1 aqua-blue colored bottles that are short and round and they come in a box that matches the color of the bottle inside but it is see thru (transparent yet colored) and they used to sell them at walmart for $14 and at walgreens and target. I looked up coty and calgon products and unless these perfumes are discontinued they are not coty or calgon. They may just be discontinued cuz I went on walmart.com and found nothing. If you can remember the name or who made them or if you remember them at all much appreciated |

| I am looking for a roll-on perfume that I bought at Hot Topic in 2005. There is no company name on the label all it says is "Patchouli Spice Oil Blend". | Many years ago there was a perfume made specially for the chain shop "miss Selfridge" it was called "Soft Talk" nothing seems to get near to this very pleasant perfume. |

| I've always used west cabot musk oil, about 25 years, then the company in islin new york, merged with cooper labs in california and when i ordered it then, the formula had changed, it was different. I kew right away plus i still have an old bottle to compare with. It is fairly close but the new formula is sweeter and does not last as long. The Musk Oil from the 1970s you are looking for is no longer made by West-Cabot. It is now called Cabot Oiriginal Natural Musk Oil and is made by Cooper Labs.

By the way, the original West-Cabot Original Musk Oil really did have TRUE Musk, and it WAS sublime. Today's version, is just a very diluted version of that GREAT Musk of the 1970s

| My dad is looking for a cologne he used to wear in the 80's called MAN, i don't know who made it, i have looked and all i've found is jaques bogart and thats not it. The cologne was simply called MAN, we used to get it in new jersey. Thank you to who ever can help me. |

| I am looking for a French made perfume with a purplish liquid inside. The clear, glass bottle looks as if its twisting from top to bottom. There is another perfume that has this twisting bottle and purple liquid, but this is not it. This one has either has Tahitian orchid or purple orchid in the scent.
