Woodhue By Faberge

I have been searching for Woodhue by Faberge for some time. I wore it when I was young and can still remember it's wonderful fragrance.

If anyone knows if it still exists, I would appreciate your letting me know. Thanks!

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
I think because of age the cologne has turned. My friend has it and opened it (as i think it was sealed). I was just doing a search on this cologne and came across your query. I has Tigris some years back and again it seemed rather dodgy though i am no cologne expert some one at the time confirmed that it was the scent they had remembered
Cheers

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
Memories! I wore Woodhue in the 60's. So did Dean Martin,
That's all he wore according to his son. Would love to buy some if anyone knows where to get the original stuff let me know.

Re: Woodhue /Tigress By Faberge
Vermont Country Store has both fragrances for $40.00 each for 2.7 oz. It seems this company has been in business for quite a while. Their website is www.vermontcountrystore.com
Good luck, Terri

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
Woodhue was discontinued years ago (I always bought it for one of my Mom's Christmas gifts, as she loved it). Lately there has been some up for auction on ebay - I got her an almost full bottle.

Just check out "Woodhue" under "Health and Beauty" and see what you come up with. A note, it can be bid quite high, so good luck!!!!

Llana;
If you can't find the "Woodhue" fragrance in a Perfume, you might want to check out the scented Fragrance OILS on the Belle-Star Web site: http://www.belle-star.com/perfume.htm
There is a big listing of various "fragrances" right under the "Women's Duplications" tab on their Web Site. I just happened to notice alot of various "discontinued" Fragrances in the OILS, while searching this Site. If someone is real desperate for "scents," maybe these OILS just might do the trick! I don't know how close of a "match" some of these OILS are, but it's worth a "look-see" anyway! Good luck with your find, & if I run across anything, I'll be sure to Post, OK?

I also remember wearing Woodhue when I was a teenager and have been looking for it for years. When I do find it on Ebay it is way beyond my price range...but, I keep looking. I wish they would make it again or something close to it..good luck and I will post if I find a place that sells it.

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
I also used Woodhue by Faberge as an after shave. I still remember the bottle cap, it was sort of like the fur of a leopard. If I am right or wrong, please comment. The last time I used it was in the 60's. Good stuff

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
Woodhue had the woodgrain cap. There was also one called "Tigress" that had an animal print on the cap, but it may have been tiger-striped. I do remember the leopard cap, though....might check ebay for "Faberge" and see if one shows up.

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
I have a full bottle, 1 ounce size, never used which still smells as great as it did when I was a teenager and wore that, as well as the Tigress cologne. I obtained this at a local estate. It looks as if it just came off the department store shelf. If you are interested, please e-mail me. Thanks.

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
Much to my surprise today, I discovered that a person can find Woodhue at www.vermontcountrystore.com for $40 a bottle. It is cologne. I, too, remember wearing it in my younger days and I'm going to order some just for old time's sake. I see you posted your request a long time ago. Hope this gives you new information on where to buy it.

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
The fragrance at Vermont Country Store is a dupe, not the original, so I'd be very careful before getting your hopes up. It may turn out to be OK, it may turn out to not be the lovely fragrance you remember.

I did call and ask them about this since I noticed the obvious discrepancy in their bottles and the original bottles - and that's when they admitted it was a dupe, not the original.

Good luck!

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
Boy, I am getting tired of the non believers, i have a full four ounze bottle of the original recipe up for auction on ebay, it is freshly compounded from the exact original recipe. Even if you can find an old bottle of the real thing, it is very very hard to get any that smells good, I just wasted $50.00 on old rancid smelling Tigress, I wish this company did Tigress too but they dont. This is not Vermont store whicch is terrible, please ladies check out my auction under amlshops2 on Ebay, fully guaranteed!

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
Woodhue is available in ONE place! The Vermont Country Store (check on line). Dean Martin's son told me... It was Dean's favorite.

Re: Woodhue By Faberge
Woodhue
Just bought the pricey www.thefragrancefactory.com Woodhue. It really is the 'real deal' and the bottle was tightly sealed and carton perfect shape. With age, the cork liner in the bottle cap had literally 'welded' itself to the mouth of the bottle - probably a good thing as the cologne was in perfect shape after 40 or so years. Just as I remembered from those halcyon days of my youth.

I am glad though that I purchased and it is what it is supposed to be! Brings back memories for sure.
