Introduced in 1993 by avant-garde designer Jean Paul Gaultier, this is an outrageous fragrance from scent to package. A fruity floral with notes of Chinese star anise, Tunisian orange blossom, Indian ginger, Florentine iris, musk and Reunion Island vanilla. The packaging was inspired by a 1937 fragrance called "Shocking" which came in a female torso shaped flacon inspired by Venus de Milo. Gaultier goes one further in adorning his with a metal corset and capped with a soft drink tab. The figure is disguised by its tin can package.
